Founded more than 10 years ago, in May 1996, Reardon Golinkin & Reed is a law firm led by partners Karen Reardon, Scott Golinkin and Scott Reed. The firm offers a unique blend of executive counseling, insurance and commercial litigation services, combining professionalism and pragmatism in a client-centered approach to the practice of law. The partnership is committed to providing the highest quality of representation in a manner that is both professionally superior and economically reasonable, through partnering relationships with clients and others.
Focused Expertise
Our practice is focused on advising on and litigating matters where insurance, professional liability, corporate governance or employment issues are present. We advise both for-profit and non-profit clients on insurance and reinsurance issues, from the procurement and underwriting process through claim resolution and program evaluation. Related service offerings include contract and other corporate document drafting, representation in mediation and arbitration proceedings, underwriting and claims reviews, and various expert consultant services.

In 2006, Reardon Golinkin & Reed celebrated ten years of service. The firm’s attorneys strive each day to meet and be responsive to evolving client needs. Many of its valued clients have continued to use the firm throughout this time. They have contributed articles and editorial services to the Andrews Publications, CPCU Journal, Defense Counsel Journal, Directors and Officers Liability Insurance Desk Book, Federation of Insurance and Corporate Counsel Quarterly, For the Defense, Illinois Bar Journal, Insurance Law Review, International Insurance Law Review, Journal of Reinsurance, Lloyd’s List, Mealey’s Emerging Insurance Disputes, and Trial Magazine. Members of the firm have spoken before organizations such as American Society of Association Executives, Chicago Bar Association, Institute for International Research, Institute of Internal Auditors, Public Interest Law Initiative, Professional Liability Underwriting Society, Underwriters at Lloyd’s and LexisNexis/Mealey’s.
Leadership
Reardon Golinkin & Reed attorneys are active in the legal and greater Chicago community. They share a high degree of commitment to public service aimed at aiding the less-privileged and providing cultural enrichment. Their commitment is evidenced by contributions to and leadership of charitable and other non-profit organizations and associations, including the Public Interest Law Initiative, HighSight and Insight inner-city tutoring and scholarship programs, Illinois Humane Society, Archbishop Quigley High School Seminary, National Youth Rights Association, DePaul University School of Music and the Northshore Concert Band, to name a few.
