Keith W. Mandell concentrates his practice in insurance, employment and securities litigation.
In April 2005, Mr. Mandell authored the article titled “Avoiding Liability as a Non-Profit Director,” which was published in the CBA (Chicago Bar Association) Record. In December 2004, he authored an article for Mealey’s Emerging Insurance Disputes titled “Liability Insurance Coverage for Fair Debt Collection Practices Act Claims.”
Mr. Mandell is admitted to practice before Illinois state courts and the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. He also possesses substantial experience with various forms of alternative dispute resolution, including that gleaned from his service as an arbitrator in Cook County’s mandatory court-annexed arbitration program. Mr. Mandell is a member of the American Bar Association.
Prior to joining Reardon Golinkin & Reed, Mr. Mandell worked with the U.S. Census Bureau and held internships with the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation’s Office of Diversity and Economic Opportunity and Professor Emeritus David Robinson, Jr. of The George Washington University Law School. An ardent advocate for better government, in 1995 Mr. Mandell became one of the youngest candidates ever to seek the office of Mayor of Columbia, Missouri, running on a platform of improving the transportation system and bringing better jobs to the community. Mr. Mandell, a director of the non-profit National Youth Rights Association, remains active in local and national politics as well as in organizing reunion activities for his alma maters, Inter-American Magnet School and Lincoln Park High School.
Mr. Mandell obtained his law degree, with honors, from The George Washington University Law School in 1999. In 1994, he earned a B.A. degree from Northwestern University, following which he entered graduate studies at the University of Missouri-Columbia, with an emphasis on Southern United States and African American History.
